Stainless steel fittings made from sheet, including bends and T-joints, are designed to be connected to the piping system through welding. As with welded tubes, bends are manufactured from cold or hot-finished sheet by forming and longitudinal welding with bending to final shape. Most common is that the bend radius is 1.5xD where D is the tube diameter but bends with D+100 mm are also available. T-joints are manufactured from welded tube via perforation and welding. Fittings with welded seams made from sheet are intended primarily for joining to stainless welded tubes.
